Barney goes to Scotland

Early one morning Barney took the express train to Edinburgh which is the capital of Scotland. It was a lovely day and Barney got quite excited as he sped along the east coast of England. Only 2 hours later he was enjoying his first dinner in Scotland

He went to Edinburgh castle which is built on volanic rock.

He visited the main street called the Royal Mile.

He listened to the soldier there who was playing the bagpipes and wearing a kilt.The street was made of cobble stones.
He went to see the statue of Greyfriar's Bobby. He is a famous dog. Look out for the story about Bobby's faithfulness.
Soon it was time for Barney to travel south back to Newcastle. He was very tired after his day out.
